Tap generate for a random charades word, or start a timed round and let the whole room play. Choose kids, easy, medium or hard, filter by category, and the generator never repeats a word until the pile runs out.
- Pick a difficultyKids keeps every prompt family friendly and simple enough for a six-year-old. Easy is everyday nouns and actions. Medium moves to scenes and phrases. Hard is abstract ideas, idioms and specialist jobs — the words that make good players sweat.
- Filter the categoriesTwenty categories cover animals, food, jobs, sports, movies, feelings, tech and more. Turn off the ones your group hates and the generator only draws from what is left.
- Generate or run a roundGenerate gives you one word at a time for classic pass-the-phone charades. Timed round adds a countdown, a got-it and skip tally, and a scoreboard at the end — hold the phone up and let the team shout.
- Act it out, no talkingNo speaking, no pointing at objects in the room, no spelling letters in the air. Hold up fingers for the number of words, then mime. First correct guess wins the point.

Frequently asked questions
The generator holds 3,104 hand-written prompts split across four difficulties and twenty categories, and every one of them is translated into all 26 site languages.
Yes. Kids mode draws from its own pool of simple, family-friendly words — animals, food, toys, playground games — with nothing scary, romantic or adult in it.
That is the point. Pass one phone around, or put the phone on a stand so everyone sees the card. Nothing to print, install or sign up for.
Sixty seconds is the classic length. The timer offers 30, 60, 90 and 120 seconds, plus an untimed option if your group prefers to let a scene run.
Not within a session. Each word is drawn from a shuffled pile and only comes back once every prompt in your filter has been used.
Four is comfortable, six or more is better. Split into two teams, alternate actors, and give each team the same number of turns.
