Animal clues, imposter pace
This mode locks every round to famous animals so clues feel consistent: habitat, behavior, food, movement, or sound. Crew sees the exact animal name; imposters see nothing (or a tiny hint if you enable it), so bluffing stays fair.
Setup is quick: set players, pick imposters, decide if imposters get a hint, and start reveals. Rounds stay under five minutes with one-word clues and a fast vote. Great for families, classrooms, and mixed-age groups.
How to play (60 seconds)
Quick start- Set players and choose how many imposters.
- Pass the device for private role reveals.
- Each player gives one short clue about the secret animal (no animal name).
- Run a quick discussion, then vote.
- Reveal roles and start the next round.
Rounds stay under five minutes, perfect for family nights, classes, and quick party sessions.
Animal clue ideas that don't give it away
Keep it broadGood clues narrow the animal down without instantly naming it. Aim for habitat, movement, behavior, diet, and body traits.
Easy clue styles (beginner-friendly)
- Habitat: 'jungle', 'ocean', 'savanna', 'arctic'
- Movement: 'flies', 'swims', 'climbs', 'hops'
- Body trait: 'striped', 'horns', 'long neck', 'shell'
- Diet: 'herbivore', 'fish eater', 'hunter', 'insect eater'
Hard clue styles (advanced groups)
- Behavior: 'nocturnal', 'lives in packs', 'migrates', 'camouflage'
- Ecology: 'apex predator', 'pollinator', 'scavenger', 'keystone species'
- Reproduction clue: 'lays eggs', 'marsupial', 'metamorphosis'
- Sound clue: 'howls', 'clicks', 'hisses', 'trumpets'
Avoid these giveaway clues
- Saying the animal name or direct synonym
- Very unique clues that only one animal fits instantly
- Repeating another player with less detail
- Turning the clue into a full definition
