Blind Ranking

Ten cards, one at a time. Lock each one into a spot from 1 to 10 before you see the next.

The game

How to play

Pick a deck. The first card appears with ten empty spots beside it. Tap a spot to put the card there. It stays there for good, and the next card comes up. Keep going until all ten spots are full.

The hard part is that you never know what is still to come. Save a high spot for something better and it might never arrive; spend it early and the best card might turn up last.

Questions people ask

What is a blind ranking?
You rank ten things from best to worst, but you only see one at a time. Each one has to go into a spot before the next is revealed, and nothing can be moved afterwards. Put your favourite at number one on the first card and you will spend the next nine hoping nothing better comes along.
How do I play with friends?
When your ten are ranked, tap Send the same ten. The link deals your friend the same ten cards in the same order, so you can compare how differently you ranked them.
Can I post my ranking?
Yes. Save as picture makes a tall image of your ranking, sized for a story or a short. On a phone it opens the share sheet; on a computer it downloads.
Is number one the best or the worst?
Your call. Most people put their favourite at number one, but some rank worst first. The game does not mind, as long as you decide before the first card.
Can I use the keyboard?
Yes. Press 1 to 9 to place the card in that spot, and 0 for number ten.
